I am the Village Elder of Mtangani village, which has a population between 7.000 and 9.000 people.
In the hot season people sleep outside. During this time they are particularly exposed to malaria with children being the most affected group. Our dispensary is still not operating and remains an unused building. Lack of funds and staff are the major reasons for that.
