Polish Medical Mission. Polish Medical Mission organizes and coordinates the participation in humanitarian actions for the benefit of the victims of catastrophes, wars and other events. Since 1999 the Polish Medical Mission has pursued several chief projects in response to emergency/war situations in several areas all over the world: Albania, Kosovo, Romania, Moldova, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Georgia, Indonesia, Chad,  Algeria, Byelorussia and Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Sumatra, Angola and Lebanon, offering: organization and management of the medical rescue system and "one day" field hospital; mobile health units; basic medical care and disease prevention programs for children;  medicines and medical equipment transport for refugees; delivery rooms for refugees; organisation of rescue service; earthquake assistance; medical evacuation of patients in direct risk of health or life; transport of medicines and medical equipment; mobile health units and tuberculosis prophylaxis and treatment; assistance for victims of tsunami in Asia; emergency response to the Darfur crisis; humanitarian help after the flood; tuberculosis, venereal disease and HIV/AIDS prophylaxis, diagnosis and treatment; renovation of regional technical infrastructures; furnishing with equipment for ambulances; Medical aid for local clinics.
