MALINDI MARKET

Malindi Market is like all African markets a busy place where food, clothes and cooking equipment is sold. Traders from the surrounding villages come every day to sell their goods.

Vendors are working from dusk till dawn.

As they have no mosquito nets to protect them while working outside, sellers are particularly exposed to Anopheles mosquitoes that transmit malaria. The mosquitoes start biting by late evening and the peak of biting activity is at midnight and early morning hours.
