Gladys Vidzo

32 years, Housewife

I live here in Kalimapoa with my husband John and my three children. A few weeks ago, I gave birth to twins called Abraham and Jacob. We all share one bedroom which is fortunately equipped with an insecticide-treated mosquito net. I know about the importance of the net, which protects us from mosquito bites and therefore from malaria, since I had a miscarriage due to malaria two years ago. I never wanted to go through this experience again and thus went to buy a mosquito net for about 500 Shilling, a lot of money for our family. But the investment had to be made, since I was not given a net which I was supposed to get during one of my antenatal care visits at the nearby clinic.
